Love between Chinese and Lebonese?!
I am a chinese lady and I met a Lebanese during my vocation in UAE. I love him too much...I miss him also. We spent about 10 days together and I am sure that is the most unforgettable moment in my life. I can feel that the love between us is true....though time is short. After a weeks' time, I am now in HK and he is probably in Lebanon. I am still waiting for his call and emails. Am I silly? stupid? Anyway, I hope he will be happy all through his life. By the way, can anyone tell me whether it is possible to make a long-term relationship between two people from different countries? I admit that sometimes I am immature.....I think love can overcome many obstacles, including culture, realistic problems....Anyway, until now, I still love him.

Hi Chinese Lady, Sad & sorry to hear your story, but frankly speaking, despite a dozen visits to Hong kong & a couple to China and, I never thought chinese ladies are capable of such a feeling. I must be dead wrong, I thought chinese overpower their sentiments and are meant for business, facts and pragmatism. We learn everyday, and wish all the best.

Hello Frank, thanks for reply. But I was rather shocked by your pt. of view. Are you suggesting that Chinese ladies are hyprocritical? How many Chinese have you met every year? I believe culture varies in different provinces though I am not born in the Mainland China. Perhaps you think all Chinese are the same. Maybe you meet some Chinese people in business occasions, so you only know people in this particular circle. I think no matter how successful a lady is in her business field, she still has a simple dream at the bottom of her heart >> that is to find someone she really loves at the end of her life. (Some may suggest that a lady should find someone who really loves her....I think the opposite) Anyway, you can say I am "immatured" in relationships, "too naive" or even "stupid". But I think I am right. Am I too stubborn? Ha Ha. Here wish you all have an Happy New Year 2004!!!

Dear chinese lady, your case is extreamely similar to a friends case.Meaning he was in a relationship with a chinese girl that he met in Dubai and was very much in love with her and had a really bad time getting over this relationship and untill now all the girls he dates resemble her in a certain way.BUT unfortunately you have to know that in lebanon familly counts a lot and it was really a long shot for her and him to adapte to either cultures so he had to end it but it was the only rational thing to do for if your really love somebody that much think also about how your love will be transformed into something like a burden and this my dear neither is goodfor any of you.Set him free and move on for you deserve better and in time reason catches up with your feelings and everything happens for a reason!best of luck.

Another chinese lady
Hi Chinese Lady, I am also a chinese girl but I live in the US. I have been dating a lebanese guy for almost four years now in the US. We are deeply in love with each other and want to be together for life, but his family is absolutely against it. I don''t understand why they can be so heartless, so stubborn. These four years, I have tried everything I can to get along with them and to learn about their culture. There is nothing that i have done wrong. But they are always trying to get him to date some other lebanese girls, even if those girls are cheaters and not as pretty or smart as I am. I just don''t get it. His family''s opposition has created a lot of problems between us. I don''t know what to do, but I still think this relationship is worth it.
