red-roofed town hugging the edge of
the Qadisha Valley, Hasroun is notable
for its picturesque dwellings, old
churches and gardens. Look for the
church of St. Laba built with entrance
stairs that plunge six feet
underground.
From Hasroun a path descends to the
ancient church of Mar Michael and the
monastery of Deir Mar Yaqoub, the
continues down into the Qadisha Valley
